SPOTLIGHT

We ask some of the UK's  finest worship leaders, vocalists and coaches
to share their vocal experience and their top tips to keeping  in tune.

Adelaide Mackenzie

Today we shine our spotlight on UK Gospel Artist and business woman, Adelaide Mckenzie. Adelaide  is the founder of the talent showcase, Blessed Souls UK.

Blessed Souls UK (aka BSUK) was established in 2007 originally as an open mic event, featuring both some of UK’s finest up and coming and established artists. Previous artists include Omar, Kele Le Roc, Isaiah-Raymond Dyer, Ruth Brown, Shakka and Jaz Ellington and is now an industry recognized event

Adelaide herself has been singing for well over 10 years and attends Ruach City Church in London.

She shares her 3 Top Vocal Tips:

  1. Listen to diverse music and sing along. A simple exercise yet good to help you tune your ears

  2. Warm up everyday find time to hum and do breathing exercises to help you strengthen your diaphragm and vocal chords even if it's for 10 to 20 minutes

  3. Every good singer should join a choir for a period of time so you can practice your harmonising. It will help  improve your  music listening skills - as music is about collaboration ( listening to others) and not just one voice.

Nice Tips. Thank you Adelaide
